I felt that the focus on conversation in class was quite valuable. Good teachers and helpful staff, too.

The cultural excursions in general (were satisfying) because they gave you the opportunity to experience various aspects of Japan that you didn’t see by being in Tokyo.

The tea ceremony was very authentic and interesting. Teachers explained exactly what we were learning and it was a beautiful experience.

Classes were productive and interesting. I learned not only about Japanese culture but also about Chinese, Korean, Taiwanese, and American culture. It was interesting to communicate with different cultures and to learn something new.

The best days were when we had a small class (10-13 students) and we did class discussion and exercises. Overall, the textbooks (Minna no Nihongo I, II, Kanji 1,2,3, and custom KCP material) were very good. I hated writing sakubun at first but by the end I enjoyed it. This was one of the most useful things.

The cultural outings were fantastic opportunities to learn about and experience Japan.

It is fun to have multinational students in class so we have to communicate in Japanese.

Speech contest was most exciting. Preparing tools with classmates was fun.

The most productive and interesting aspects of the program was actually going to class, which isn’t usually the case haha. The teachers were very funny and down-to-earth, while also teaching a lot of practical sentence structures and giving us plenty of opportunity to practice spoken Japanese. I feel that I’ve had THE best teachers to learn from and the best classmates to study with at KCP for a language learning environment.

Over all very pleased with living arrangements. Especially cleanliness.
