My dorm experience was to be cherished.

Ashley from Summer Short 2017

I enjoyed the experience of living in a small one room apartment, but the best part of my building were my landlords. Learning to understand rapid-fire talking styles was invaluable.

Steffan from Summer Short 2017

The best parts really are class; sitting there and hearing explanations and having the chance to get nuances explained to you verbally and through written feedback is great, and being purely in Japanese does wonders for helping your brain think in Japanese. The rotation of teachers is also great, since it forces you to learn multiple styles and speeds of spoken Japanese; some of my teachers were a bit more difficult to understand at first, but the process of learning to understand rapid-fire talking styles was invaluable.

Rishab from Summer Short 2017

I very much liked the location of my dorm in Nishi-Tokyo. Although commuting everyday was a bit troublesome the towns quiet environment was a nice escape after going to school in a area like Shinjuku. The staff of the dorm where very friendly and food offered varied from traditional Japanese breakfast to western style dinners.

N2 grammar points and new kanji/vocabulary was very engaging.

Kathleen from Summer Short 2017

The approach to the study of N2 grammar points and new kanji/vocabulary was very engaging to me. The exercise of providing definitions for new vocabulary in Japanese could be challenging, but also useful in a conversational setting when dealing with a limited vocabulary.
