Maeve from Winter 2023

Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?

Going to Yokohama was probably the most satisfying because we were able to speak outside of the classroom textbooks with natives. It was also nice to be able to walk around and learn verses always sitting in a classroom.

What activities or materials did you find most helpful (e.g., pair work, drill practice, tests, small group sessions, textbooks, games)?

Games were most helpful overall but depending on the partner, pair work was also helpful.

Any comments or tips for prospective/new KCP students?

Bring enough of your medicines if you have any for your time at KCP. Try not to get sick and miss class. It's hard to catch up.

Testimonials

I selected this program because I saw a favorable review for it in my Japanese club’s newsletter, and I had been looking for a study abroad in Tokyo. I also liked how inexpensive the program was and how the offered dormitories, which few other programs did.
