Drill practice was my favorite class time activity.
Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?
I enjoyed the lecture and field trip on the history of Japanese firefighting the most. It was something I personally related to as someone who works In construction
What were the most productive and interesting aspects of the program for you? The least interesting and productive?
The classes are excellent, though other student’s behavior can be an issue. The pacing is good and well thought out. I am not one for excursions so the classroom excursion to kawagoe was not something I particularly enjoyed
What activities or materials did you find most helpful (e.g., pair work, drill practice, tests, small group sessions, textbooks, games)?
Drill practice was my favorite class time activity. I’m a big proponent of repetition. And test spacing was helpful for reviewing and letting lessons sink in
Any comments or tips for prospective/new KCP students?
Study hard before coming to the program, but also be flexible. The Kcp curriculum is very specific and you may have to relearn something you thought you knew. Attend every English support session. I learned something important each time
