This course takes a lot of work but the payoff is worth it.

Isabella from Spring 2022

Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?

While I was online, many of the activities were on campus, but I appreciated how they would try to involve us whenever they can.

What were the most productive and interesting aspects of the program for you? The least interesting and productive?

This semester alone has greatly improved my Japanese and conversation skills. The only critique is that I wish there wasn’t homework before major tests.

What activities or materials did you find most helpful (e.g., pair work, drill practice, tests, small group sessions, textbooks, games)?

The drill practice made it stay in my memory longer when accompanied with the textbook and worksheets before the unit.

Any comments or tips for prospective/new KCP students?

This course takes a lot of work but the payoff is worth it. You should always leave a good block of time to study each day before class. Making a schedule for the week will help too.

Testimonials

I am really happy I decided to study at KCP. It has been a difficult journey, but I have learned a lot. I would love to come back to KCP to continue my studies.
