The most productive and interesting parts of this program are the classes itself.

Madison from Fall 2018

Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?

The yamanashi trip was the best by far. Being able to get out of the city was a great refresher for the program.

Which co-curriculum classes did you find most satisfying?

The japanese conversation class was great. It gave us real world scenarios and very useful vocabulary for daily life.

What were the most productive and interesting aspects of the program for you? The least interesting and productive?

The most productive and interesting parts of this program are the classes itself. Being surrounded by so many different cultures but having Japanese as our connection really made class interesting.

What activities or materials did you find most helpful (e.g., pair work, drill practice, tests, small group sessions, textbooks, games)?

I found our one on one conversations to be the most helpful.

Any suggestions for improving class activities or materials?

Possibly more focus on conversation practice.

What did you find most valuable in the Culture Course?

I thought the lectures were very valuable. The professors that came in were very knowledgable about their subjects and gave us a lot of interesting information.

What did you find least valuable in the Culture Course?

I cant think of any negative points to the culture classes. They were great supplements to our studies.

Where did you live?

Ikebukuro

Any further thoughts or tips for those considering the program or new KCP students?

Ifit's possible, try to come to Tokyo before starting the program to see if you can handle living in a big city. The school itself is amazing, and the education is top notch. But be prepared to be doing homework almost all day, every day.

Testimonials

The most important reason why I selected the program was for its affordability. As a graduate, I am paying for the program through my own personal funds without the help of any university financial aid or scholarships. Affordability and value of the program were essential in my decision, and KCP has exceeded my expectations.
