Best way to learn Japanese!

Cassandra from Winter 2018

Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?

the level 3 fire and earthquake trip-was enjoyable and interesting, as well as a chance to learn in Japanese about a topic more in-depth than we did in class.

What activities or materials did you find most helpful (e.g., pair work, drill practice, tests, small group sessions, textbooks, games)?

the three minute conversations were very interesting and productive, not only was it really interesting to get to talk to my classmates and hear about their countries, it also made me struggle to explain ideas that I didn't think I would have been able to articulate in Japanese in a very friendly and low-pressure environment. It was also very helpful when the instructor would write out and explain additional examples that were not in our book for grammar points. Having those examples copied down in my notes was very helpful.

Testimonials

I selected it because I wanted a reputable and intensive program that would take a student who’s no longer affiliated with a college. KCP was the only program I found that satisfied this criteria. It also helped a lot that my friend recommended it.
