The program's school terms, being able to select by 3 month terms, fit with my academic and personal schedules. A 3 month session was worthwhile. The program's reputation as intense also contributed to my choosing of KCP. I wanted a worthwhile experience in which I could learn as much as possible especially within a shorter amount of time.

What did you find most valuable in the Culture Course?
The excursions provided for first hand experiencing of Japanese culture guided by staff which I really valued.
Were you pleased with the general living arrangements? Anything you especially liked? Any problems you experienced?
The room was small but the perfect size for living and studying in. Available laundry was convenient. I appreciated the community with the other students and the use of the common space on the first floor where we could talk, study. The TV was also nice to be able to view Japanese television programs for listening practice.
Any further thoughts or tips for those considering the program or new KCP students?
KCP provided an experience that I will never forget. Thanks to the intense program, I was able to improve my Japanese more in a short amount of time than I ever have before. The summer long term program was the perfect length of study to achieve my goals within the limited time I had and it was compatible with my academic schedule. If I could stay for one term longer, I would, because I know that with KCP I would defitnielt improve even more. The program not only allowed me to greatly improve my Japanese, but to live in and explore Tokyo while meeting new people from all over the world who I can now call friends. KCP is a greatly worthwhile experience in more ways than one.
