I had an amazing time and my class was fantastic.

Courtney from Fall 2016

Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?

The KCP BBQ was one of my favorite experiences because it gave me a chance to hangout with my class outside of the classroom setting and speak in casual japanese.

What activities or materials did you find most helpful (e.g., pair work, drill practice, tests, small group sessions, textbooks, games)?

I found the small group sessions to help the most because I was able to pick up on things while having fun with my classmates.

What did you find most valuable in the Culture Course?

The culture class overnight trip was by far my most amazing experience at KCP so far. I had an amazing time and my class was fantastic.

Any further thoughts or tips for those considering the program or new KCP students?

KCP is a very vigorous program that will try and leave you behind every step of he way. However, If you can overcome that and work the system for what its worth you can unquestionably become amazing at Japanese. If you are motivated and ready to spend 2 or more hours a day studying Japanese I would recommend KCP to you. I would recommend you try and find opertunities outside of KCP in order to practice your Japanese with native speakers. due to KCP being a language school your classmates will not be native speakers and as such you will need to meet people in other settings.

Testimonials

If you’re looking for an intensive course, then KCP is the place to go! Although it was hard work, it was also a lot of fun and I’m very pleased with my current language skill – and I’ve only just finished Level 1! Going out with the class for a final dinner really showed me how much we’d learnt as we had no problems in conveying our feelings even though our only common language was Japanese. I’d come back in a heartbeat.
