Jordan from Summer Short 2016

Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?

I was the most satisfied with the school field trip to yamanashi prefecture. The scenery was beautiful and the peaches were delicious. Also, it was one of the few times I was able to go explore Japan since I had so much homework.

What were the most productive and interesting aspects of the program for you? The least interesting and productive?

The most productive was the amount of extra effort the teachers were willing to go for the students who wanted to do extra assignments. Least interesting was the Speach contest which took up a few weeks of time where we couldn't learn as much.

Any further thoughts or tips for those considering the program or new KCP students?

If you want to improve Japanese, try this school. But don't expect to do well if you aren't willing to study a lot.

If you’re looking for an intensive course, then KCP is the place to go! Although it was hard work, it was also a lot of fun and I’m very pleased with my current language skill – and I’ve only just finished Level 1! Going out with the class for a final dinner really showed me how much we’d learnt as we had no problems in conveying our feelings even though our only common language was Japanese. I’d come back in a heartbeat.
