I would tell everyone thinking of attending KCP to jump in with both feet and go to Japan with an open mind. You never know what you'll experience next!
Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?
I loved the excursions we took as a group, as well as school wide activities. I made some lifelong friends because of this :)
What were your goals in attending the KCP program?
To improve my fluency and spoken level of Japanese skill.
What were the most productive and interesting aspects of the program for you? The least interesting and productive?
I loved the fact that teachers cycled out, we weren't stuck with one teaching style. I also enjoyed the essay writing on Fridays because it allowed me to have a visual of the parts of the language I didn't understand.
What activities or materials did you find most helpful (e.g., pair work, drill practice, tests, small group sessions, textbooks, games)?
I liked small group sessions and essay writing activities.
Any further thoughts or tips for those considering the program or new KCP students?
